Compu-Trax of New York was established in 2011, in response to the new Medical Treatment Guidelines, adopted by the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. The service was created by Mark Howard, PT, DPT, OCS in order to help physical therapists and physicians cope with the various problems arising from the variance submission process.
Dr. Howard has over 25 years of clinical practice in outpatient orthopedics. has taught a variety of courses in the SUNY Buffalo Department of Physical Therapy, and was one of the first Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapists in New York. In addition, he has worked as a consultant to several major workers' compensation carriers in New York.
Dr. Howard has incorporated a number of software programs to assist clinicians in tracking key timeframes for their workers' compensation patients and the required documentation, including variance requests and PT-4's. This service helps clinics avoid lost revenue and prevents patients from missing out on the critical care they requires.
All Compu-Trax review, submission and tracking services are provided by licensed physical therapists with an active knowledge of outpatient physical therapy and the Medical Treatment Guidelines.
Compu-Trax of New York is doing business in the State of New York as a subsidiary of Virtual Images, LLC, a New York State limited liability corporation.
